Chilliwack, BC (Nov. 3, 2014) – When we decide to bring a dog or a cat into our lives it’s a life-changing moment that evokes our most natural instincts to nurture and protect these precious creatures. It’s a decision that also brings us profound joy and rewards, through every little thing our pets do for us in return.

The cherished bond we share with our pets, and our devotion to nourishing them with love, attention, shelter and food throughout their lives is the foundation of a new communications campaign from Petcurean, maker of GO! and NOW FRESH premium-quality foods for dogs and cats.

The campaign is being brought to life with the help of celebrated amateur Russian photographer Elena Shumilova, who has captured the world’s attention with her endearing photos of children sharing tender moments with pets.

Shumilova’s enchanting work has been featured in media worldwide, including the Huffington Post, ABC News, the Daily Mail (UK) and more.

“The images Elena has contributed to our Nourish for Life campaign are able to express the depth of our bond with our pets, in a way that words never could,” says Jaimie Turkington, Director of Marketing for Petcurean.

“She captures something pure, yet powerful about our relationships with our pets, in a way that will con- nect with pet parents anywhere. We were looking for a visual way of representing these feelings and saw in Elena’s work a natural fit with Petcurean’s own commitment to nourishing the ones we love, for life.”

During the campaign, Petcurean is inviting the world to experience their premium-quality pet recipes, by offering free trial bags of GO! and NOW FRESH products. The campaign will run in the fall 2014 through to summer 2015. It will include Facebook, YouTube and Twitter activity, web ads, appearances at trade shows and consumer events, and a significant in-store presence at pet specialty retailers.

“I felt so inspired in creating these images, because the theme of the Petcurean campaign is very close to my own heart,” says Shumilova. “Pets are members of our family and there’s nothing more natural and more important than the ability to care for someone you love.”

Old Yale Brewing’s Sasquatch Stout Wins Best Beer in Canada.

June 4, 2014 – Out of 916 beer entries from over 130 Canadian breweries, Old Yale’s Sasquatch Stout was recognized as the highest-scoring single entry beer in all 38 categories and named “Beer of the Year”.

“We are extremely honored to receive this prestigious award considering all the great beers being crafted each and every day in Canada. It’s an exciting time for the craft beer industry which is healthy and growing. For over 15 years, Old Yale Brewing Company has been a key part of the Canadian Craft Beer community and we are extremely proud to be recognized for our great beer that honours the hard work and attention to detail that goes into every pint” said Zach VanLeeuwen, Operations Manager for the Brewery. Old Yale’s brew master, Larry Caza, has been brewing craft beer for over 20 years and can be considered one of the pioneers of the North American Craft Beer Industry. Larry has inspired many new brewers to take up the art of producing homegrown beers. “Congratulations to Larry and our team for your inspiration and dedication to producing a beer that has reached the pinnacle of the Craft Beer Industry” continued Mayert.
