Craft Beer Pioneer Old Yale Brewing Releases Daringly Simple IPA

CraftBeer7

November 6, 2015 (Chilliwack, BC) – Based in Chilliwack, BC, Old Yale Brewing can be considered one of the pioneer companies in the Canadian Craft Beer Industry. After over 15-years of craft brewing success (including Canadian Brewing “Beer of Year” win for Sasquatch Stout in 2014), Old Yale Brewing continues to innovate new products that meet the growing consumer demand for great tasting craft beer.

New Product Launching
Today, Old Yale Brewing announced the launch of a new seasonal beer, the Devilfish Single Malt & Single Hop IPA that will join their award-winning TALL TALE Series lineup. This daringly simple IPA was crafted using only two essential ingredients: special amber malt and Ella hops. The Devilfish’s tropical notes and smooth finish are best savored with a spicy seafood dish.

“We’ve made some big investments at Old Yale, one of which was bringing on a Senior Brewer, Mike Roberts. Mike hails from Australia, and has extensive education and experience crafting exceptional beer. He fits right in with Larry (who has been our brewmaster for the last 15 years) and the rest of our team. It’s exciting to see Mike and Larry collaborating to innovate unique, hand-crafted premium beers which we know our customers are going to love” stated Zach VanLeeuwen, Operations Manager for Old Yale Brewing.

The Brewery’s TALL TALE Series celebrates the mythical characters that might find their way into spooky campfire tales, including Canada’s 2014 Best Beer, the Sasquatch Stout, the unique Screaming Banshee Irish Cream Stout, and the most-recent Vanishing Monk Belgian Witbier which was launched last Spring. Dark and haunting illustrations capture the essence of each “tall tale”, with stories about the mythical characters on each label. The Devilfish Single Malt & Single Hop IPA celebrates a local BC tale centered around Cultus Lake in the Fraser Valley of BC.

The new beer’s label was designed by Subplot Design Inc., and features an illustration done by a local Vancouver artist that was created to bring the beer’s unique TALL TALE story to life.

The Devilfish Single Malt & Single Hop IPA will be available for order in bomber bottles and kegs, and will be sold in retail stores and at Old Yale Brewing later this month.
